"Gumbo File"
Walking around the French Quarter last weekend, I saw this sign. Luckily I've already seen an aligator, but never a gator/gumbo combo.

Rex
Zulu was first, and then after that, Rex - the picture is of one of the first floats of the parade. The floats are rumored to be built on 1800s garbage wagons, which is kinda a cool idea either way.

Mardi Gras Madness!
We celebrated Mardi Gras this year! It was pretty great - it rained a little in the morning, it was windy, but it was still a pretty good time...
